They say training needs the right attitude, but for a grueling stage race high up in the Lesotho mountains, it needs altitude. 

Every year, we get the same requests from riders who want to come for a few days to get used to the altitude before they line up at the starting line of the Lesotho Sky stage race. When it comes to mountain-biking-friendly-stays in our area, visitors are spoiled for choice. The race covers over 350kms with sleepovers at three legendary Lesotho lodges, Ramabanta Trading Post, Malealea Lodge and Roma Trading Post Lodge. The final day of the race, ends at the spectacular views surrounding the Semonkong Lodge.  A choice between any one of these for a training weekend is a real no brainer, just pick one and come. Lesotho Sky and Roma Trading Post Lodge

Since the start of 2017, the Roma Trading Post Lodge is managed by the same crazy people who organise the Lesotho Sky stage race. That’s us, in case you were unsure. This has been a long time coming and we are extremely proud to be involved in this legendary Lesotho establishment. To spice things up, we’ve built a kickass pump track with the help of some amazing people. (Go check it out here.) We have also founded a cycling academy for children and youth, which allows us to share our passion for cycling with our community and hopefully help develop tourism in our area; and benefit more than just the lodge.
