We are proud to announce that the Irene J Notrem Foundation (IJNF) will be sponsoring one Basotho Rider in this year’s Lesotho Sky Race. IJNF is an American non-profit organization that supports youth education throughout Lesotho, South Africa and the USA. Irene Notrem is affectionately known as “Renee” or to her grand kids as “granny muffins”. As a single mom, she was a lifelong learner, always studying to improve herself and always striving to be better and do better. Renee’s belief in seeing the best in people created core values that her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren live by today. Inspired by her ethos, Irene’s children; Debbie Notrem-Anderson, Elroy, Lionel and Oliver Notrem created this foundation. Their goal is to continue in her tradition by supporting children from their mother’s home country, Lesotho and abroad.
They provide financial scholastic support to High School students. Partner with other organizations in promoting a positive environment which encourage youth to strive for success. Sponsor and co-sponsor charitable fundraising events. Financial support towards the purchase of new laptops and books for college students.
